Inside Heated Or Outside Wrap Storage

We store more boats through the winter than almost anyone else in the area, and storage has been the backbone of Service 1 Marine since Bob Stratton opened this facility. Choose between inside heated storage or outside shrink wrap storage, based on your boat and your budget.

Every winter storage package includes haul out, transportation to our LaPorte facility, blocking, jack stands, a power wash of the bottom, complete winterization of the engine and all water systems, and shrink wrap. In the spring, we launch your boat and it comes back to you ready to run.

Storage Options

Choose The Storage That Fits Your Boat

Both options start with the same thorough service. Pick inside heated storage or outside wrap storage based on your boat and your budget.

  • Inside Heated Storage

Your boat sits indoors, out of the wind, snow, and freeze and thaw cycles that wear on a hull left outside all winter. This is one of the largest heated storage operations in Indiana, and we are expanding it again this fall.

  • Outside Wrap Storage

Your boat is blocked, set on jack stands, and shrink wrapped tight for the season. A practical, budget friendly option that still keeps your boat covered and protected through the winter.

  • Every Package Includes

    • ✓Haul out and transportation to our facility
    • ✓Blocking and jack stands
    • ✓Power washing of the bottom
    • ✓Complete winterization of every water system
    • ✓Shrink wrap

Frequently Asked Questions

Boat Storage Questions

Winter storage runs from your haul out date through May 15th. Boats that stay with us past that date move to summer storage rates.

Every winter storage package includes haul out, transportation, blocking, jack stands, a power wash of the bottom, complete winterization, shrink wrap, storage itself, and launch in the spring.

Half of the storage fee is due at haul out, with the balance due by January 1st. Reserving your spot early in the season is the best way to lock in favorable pricing before space fills up.

Head holding tanks need to be pumped out before storage. Beyond that, our crew handles haul out, winterization, and setup once your boat arrives.

We store a wide range of boat sizes both inside our heated buildings and outside under wrap. Contact us with your boat's length and beam and we will confirm space and the right storage option.

Boat owners are responsible for insuring their own vessel and its contents while in storage. We recommend confirming your coverage with your insurance provider before drop off.
